About us

From a mustard seed.

Who we are, where we come from, and what we promise.

Congregation 001

Every Fellowship congregation receives a number, and ours is the first. Fellowship of the Common Good: Congregation 001 was founded in 2026, online first, in Oregon, by one person with a calling and a home office. It is the founding congregation, the one that writes down everything it learns so that Congregation 002, and 020, and 200, can rise anywhere in the world with the same blueprint.

It is as a grain of mustard seed: which when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that are in the earth: And when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches, so that the birds of the air may dwell under the shadow thereof.Mark 4:31–32 · The Fellowship Bible

We began that way: a mustard seed. One seeker, a few books, a daily verse, and a vision of a community that does not only pray but builds. We are online first, so that anyone, anywhere, can join. We gather in person wherever we can. One day, God willing, there will be land, greenhouses, homes and a place of our own: the first of many.

Our vision

A community of builders, raising a common good the whole world can share. We see a congregation of masons, craftsmen and craftswomen, builders in body and in spirit, working side by side to raise communities that are fed, housed, prosperous and free. We will grow our own food, build our own homes, strengthen our own trades, and care for one another.

Every gift we receive and every book we share returns to the people through programs held in open accounts, so that every member can see where every dollar goes. And what we learn, we will give away.

“Masons” here means what it says: people who build. The Fellowship has no connection with Freemasonry or any lodge.

The sun cross

Our symbol is a ring of gold with an equal cross, and at its centre a small ring around a point of light. The Sun is the nearest image in our sky of the One God, who gives light and life to all. The cross is the way of the Master. The point at the centre is the spark of God within every person.

Our books

The Fellowship has published Truth from Monad, the Fellowship's own book, with its Companion; The Holy Bible: The Fellowship Edition; and works of history and inquiry: The Bloodline, the two volumes of Blood on Thy Hands, and The Sephardic Jew. Three are free and the rest are for sale in our Library, and the children's books of Luminara Academy are part of the family too.

Our promises

  • Free: prayer, gatherings, books and courses, always.
  • No pressure: we do not recruit; you come freely and leave freely.
  • Respect: we honour every faith that seeks the good, and we never attack another.
  • Open books: honest teaching, and open accounts when giving begins.
  • Shared guidance: a council, not a celebrity.
